NEWS UPDATE! Successful Programme for Sonangol and BP
IT&T in partnership with IDC Technologies has just completed a
year long training programme for The Sonangol Group and BP Plc. in
support of Local Content initiatives in connection with a new FPSO
under construction by MODEC and BP. The programme trained over
200 personnel from BP, Sonangol and various subcontractors in
Project Management, Engineering Disciplines as well as leadership
and Management.
Established in 1976, Sonangol - Sociedade Nacional de
Combustíveis de Angola - is the sole concessionaire for the
exploitation of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons in Angola’s subsoil
and continental platform. Its business activities include the
prospecting, research, development, marketing, production,
storage, transportation and refining of hydrocarbons and their
derivatives, and can be conducted autonomously or jointly with
foreign companies.
BP formerly British Petroleum, founded in 1908, is one of the
world's leading international oil and gas companies, providing its
customers with fuel for transportation, energy for heat and light,
